BIRTH YEAR PRESENT ("the Site") is an informational site, operated by the Site's operator, introducing products and events connected to specific birth years. This policy explains what information the Site collects and how it is handled.
1. Purpose and operation
The Site publishes information about products and brands born in a given year, and related cultural works and events, across categories such as watches, wine, sake, whisky, fragrance, handbags, and fountain pens. It is operated by the Site's operator.
The Site does not sell any of the products it describes. Purchases take place on each brand's official site or through third-party retailers/marketplaces; the Site only links to those sources.
2. Information we collect
The Contact page has no submission form - it offers only a link that opens your own email application. Your name, email address, and message are sent directly from your mail client and never pass through or get stored on the Site's own servers.
If an analytics tool is introduced, it may collect non-personally-identifying information - pages viewed, time on page, referrer, approximate region, device type - via cookies or similar technology. No analytics tool is in use today.
3. Advertising and cookies
The Site does not currently display third-party advertising. The Site intends to use Google AdSense or a similar third-party ad-serving service in the future.
Once ads are enabled, Google and other third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this and other websites.
Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings (https://adssettings.google.com/), or opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info (https://www.aboutads.info/choices/).
Neither the advertising-related cookies described above nor any analytics cookie is currently being set. This policy will be updated, and a consent mechanism added where legally required, before advertising or analytics is actually enabled.
4. Links to external sites
Links to external sites (official brand sites, marketplaces, source articles) currently carry no affiliate compensation (organic links only). If a link is ever part of a paid affiliate arrangement, that will be disclosed clearly next to the link.
Each linked external site has its own, separate privacy policy. The Site does not review, control, or take responsibility for how those external sites handle information.
5. Children's privacy
The Site does not knowingly direct content specifically at children under 13.
6. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated from time to time to reflect legal or operational changes. Material changes will be noted on this page.
