Speedmaster (Second Generation)
The second-generation Speedmaster, reference CK2998, was introduced with Alpha hands and a black tachymeter bezel. In 1962, it became OMEGA's first watch worn in space on the wrist of astronaut Walter Schirra during the Mercury program. Its clearly identified year and generation make it a meaningful birth-year gift and a practical pre-owned search target.
